Nine (9) members, three (3) year terms.  Created by Resolution # 2023-834 (09/07/23). City residency required.  As of 6/16/2022, unless professional expertise is listed as a requirement or preference for board membership and no resident applicant meets that criteria, board members must reside in the city and will be automatically removed from the board if they fail to remain residents of the city.

In order to remain in compliance with the Federal Regulations regarding Citizen Participation, the City has implemented an Advisory Board to represent the community and to assist with the Application Review Process.  The Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Development (CACCD), reviews all non-profit agency applications during the annual competitive funding cycle and makes recommendations to the City Commission and City Manager related to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Initiative Programs.  These programs support housing and public services activities and projects that serve the low – and moderate income residents of the City of Gainesville.

The CACCD meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month unless otherwise advertised.

Student Adjunct Members are not listed in the demographic composition of the Board/Committee.
