The Gainesville Art in Public Places Trust (APPT) is a 5-person board that serves as the advisory body to the City on public art and evaluate and select public art funded by the 1% for public art ordinance (Ord. 170526 Chapter 5.5 Art in Public Places). APPT is comprised of professionals in disciplines related to public art as outlined in the ordinance or who have experience in public art administration and/or the selection and implementation of public art projects. The Trust administers the lengthy process of selection of public art for the city.
